Dark's Artwork
These are art pieces that I had to do for various school art classes. More information is given about each image beneath it. Also, click images for larger, easier viewing.

This was an assignment for my Design class. We had to choose something natural and man made and use them in a cubism piece. I messed up the cubism part early on and just went with it. xP Initially, the picture wasn't supposed to look elevated, but I couldn't get it to look right and I was afraid if I kept pushing it, I was going to seriously mess it up since I wasn't using artist colored pencils (I was using waxy crayolas), so I stuck with the broken glass kind of look.
It was done entirely in colored pencil and it's all one piece (the shadows were done in pencil too). Since this was scanned, it lost some of its original color, though I restored most of it. The background should actually be a bit darker and there's more of a neon-green (rather than yellow) glow on the belly of the dolphins. Also, there's a darker area in the upper-middle portion of the piece...that was because I couldn't get my scanner to capture it properly. Actual size is 48.25cm x 32.35cm.

This is what I consider to be my first painting. Though it's actually my second, the first was more of an experiment and it's super huge, so I'm not gonna scan it. The assignment for this one was to concentrate on focus, either through larger image vs smaller image or 2/3 rule. I think I kinda pulled off both. e.e
This was done on some sort of black cardboard-like paper and was given three coats of gesso (dries clear and gives it that texture you see) once finished because I made a couple booboos and wound up with glistening black blotches in a few places. e.e
Scanner did, for some reason, mess up and make the left side lighter than the right, so there was some color restoration work for this one, but it's still very natural and looks almost exactly like the original. The only major difference is that dark area just to the left of the sun...it wasn't supposed to be there. e.e Actual size is 45.5cm x 29.5cm.
