How to use image packs!

For this tutorial, we'll be using Hybrid Genesis image packs. Please visit the site (click the name) and download the first image pack you see.

Open it up & select the first image. Right click and select Open With> Paint Shop Pro 8.

It will then automatically open up in Paint Shop Pro 8 as a new image. Crop out one of the brushes you wish to use (making sure it's smaller than 500x500). I cropped out the first brush & it looks like this:



Click on the Paint Brush tool (image to left) and click on the tiny, downwards arrow next to your active brush icon then click on the icon of a paintbrush that is surrounded by a dotted border.

A Pop up will appear, asking you to name your new paint brush. I titled my 'HybridGenesis1.' It's good to title them after their authors, to keep track of which sites you used brushes from. x) I didn't learn this little trick until recently so most of the brushes on my computer aren't named properly.

When you're done naming it, select 'ok.' While PSP8 is adding the brush, the program icons may temporarily freeze or your cursor may disappear for a few seconds. Once it's done though, Feel free to find the newly added brush from your list & use it. You should notice that the white background automatically disappeared for you. Spiffy eh?
