Metallic text tutorial!
=) In this tutorial, I'll show you one way to create a metallic looking font in Photoshop 7. Once your done, feel free to experiment on your own and see what you can come up with!

For starters, let's create a 300x300 size image. To do so, just go up to File> New, then input the width and height. Your settings should look something like this:
Example
Once you've got it, select 'Ok'. Next, go ahead and add text via the text tool. Select a font type and click on your new image to use the font. I chose 'Big Ham' and used white as the font color:
Example
Next, find the layer palette and the layer you were working on. It should be named after what ever you chose to type into your canvas. Once you've spotted it, right click until you see a menu. Then select 'Blending Options'.
Example
First, select the 'Inner Shadow' option (don't just click the check box, click on the name as well). Set the distance to '0'.
Example
Next, select 'Bevel & Emboss'. Set the depth to '5' and the size to '0'. Then, check 'contour'.
Example
Afterwards, check 'Satin' and 'Drop Shadow'. Then select 'Stroke'. Change the size to '1' and the color to black or '000000'.
Example
Select 'Ok'. =) Now your text should look somewhat like this:

Now you can go ahead and get creative with it! Adjust the colors, texture, etc, and give it a cool bg! Voila! =) Simple as that!
