NeoHTML & Chat Prefs. help!

New to Neopets, or maybe just the chat boards? Don't understand how to change your preferences? ^^ Maybe I can help.

First, locate the neo boards and click. It'll be in the big yellow sidebar, about half way down. Now, click on your chat preferences.

Here's where you'll be able to change your Avatar, NeoTitle, NeoHTML, Signature, and so on. The Avatar and NeoTitle options should be self explanitory. When you change your NeoHTML and signature preferences, remember that not all fonts are viewable to all of the site users. If you get into using a fancy font like cheri or "the neopets font", remember that only people who have that font on their computer can see it, other wise it looks something like verdana or times new roman. So, it's best to stick with the basic fonts that most computers have. This is also why font contests don't make much sense to me. xP

Also, when you change your chat preferences, you use brackets []. Elsewhere around the site you use what I like to call the "arrow symbols" < >. (o.o I know that's not their real name, just my awful habit) Just remember that if you're ever trying to change your stats elsewhere.



Removing Siggy Lines

It's very simple, just place a left bracket at the very end of your neoHTML and a right bracket at the very beginning of your siggy, like so:

Notice how the brackets appear in the preview. ^^ Not to worry. As long as the brackets are facing the right direction, they will not appear in the message boards, rather your siggy line will vanish.

Breaking Or Adding Text To A New Line. (commonly seen with siggy pets)

Underlining

[u]neoHTML[/u]
